Presentation Is Too Big

My Evaluation presentation has now become that huge in memory size, due adding other drafts of my products and general making the whole thing look nice, I have split it into four separate parts.

A video explaining my change in theme of my products.

Final Products Improvements

These are my final products to there best standards, they have full spelling and look far superior to how they used to look.

New Theme Transfered To All Products

 These are my products with the new theme applied to them. In my opinion I think they look more livley and vivid than the previous grey design. I am now going to edit the evaluation to include the new changes to the products. You will have also noticed the name of the band has changed from Flood to Flare, this is simply due to Flare relating to the fiery theme where as Flood relates to a more aqautic theme. I realise that there may be futher changes but they will edited shortly.

Results For New Theme For Products

After asking my target audience which of my new themes they prefered they came back with the following results and some feedback.

It is clear that the fire theme, using Orange, Red and Yellow is clearly better. In my opinion it looks more rebelious and fiery than the previous version. I will now continue to edit this design and transfer the theme to my other products.





Some feedback from the target audience:
The multicoloured theme is more pop related, I also cant read the text very well, I prefer the fire themed one since I can read it well and it looks like a powerful rock album.

I think the fire theme goes well with your theme of rock music, I would consider adding some tone to the design give it some texture.

I dislike the Bubbles design, looks more like a childrens album, I like the idea of the Multicoloured design but its hard on the eyes so I wouldnt recomened it, try the fire design but make more powerful!

New theme for CD Products

After conducting my evaluation I was told that my products are rather bland. Therefore I have devised a batch of products which are far from bland as one can possibly get. I will analysis what I have done in detail on seperate slides and collect audience opinion on them all to see where I go from here. Having altering a single aspect of my product means I will have to alter all the other ancilary products.

Update

During this quiet period, I have a slightly altered schedule, I need to film a little more for my video then it should be done, I just need to find a place for Tom to film.

This is the first draft of my evaluation, it covers every aspect of my product, as best it can. Knowing me, Il find some flaw so Il try and fix it soon.

A start in a series of commentary's where I describe my projects.

CD Back: Final Draft

This is my final draft of my CD back, of the three products, this has had the least changed to it. I have changed the colour to match the rest of the products. I have also removed the background from the pictures due to the natural setting now not going with the grey background.

Poster: Final Draft

This is my final poster, upon changing the colour scheme of the front cover I have had to change the colour of the poster also. You will also notice that the picture has gone, my research showed me that only a few posters use the actual band on them. Therefore I have removed the image and replaced it with the logo which I think you'll agree looks far superior than before, especially with the colour scheme change. 

Update

This week is the finale! I have sorted all problems out with my cover, I simply need to transfer the theme to my other products and my products are completed (trust me its a humongous improvement) Elsewhere my evaluation is progressing and will be finished by next Friday (I have an exam this week, hence Media is not my main concern this week but the week after is all Media)

CD Cover: Final Draft

This is my hopefully final draft of my CD cover, I have taken all my audience feedback for my previous draft, most notably the colour scheme, therefore I have completely changed the colour scheme to a more suitable colour for a rock album. I also changed the logo to look more suited to being black rather than orange. I also changed the band name since "Fallen" didn't really suit the design I was going for. 

Rough Cut: Feedback

I asked my target audience what they thought of my music video and anything that they think I could do to improve upon it. These are several of the comments I received regarding improvements:

I really liked the idea of rebellion, however I think the video looks a little plain without an effect on it.

The video idea is nice, the song choice is brilliant but I think you should play around with some of the effects on the mac and see if any suit the style of the video and song.

I think the first part of the video, is shot far to rough, you can see easily your hand moving while filming it makes it sloppy and unprofessional, remove it. Have you considered adding some close ups?

I will take this feedback and apply it to my music video.

Rough Cut

This is my rough cut. Its not particularly brilliant, but with some editing and perhaps a little more footage, a worthy music video can be created. I will ask my target audience what they like about the video and any improvements.

Current Work

Well work is currently a little slow, as I am working on finding time to edit my video and finding a mac to use the editing software on to improve my video. I also am begining to start my evaluation of my work and start conducting video diaries to go along with the evaluation and to show technological convergence in my blog.
